Why does Champ take a drink of whiskey then spit it into a spittoon?

If your a taster, you can't judge the quality very well if you get drunk as hell,so they only taste it. They spit it out so they won't get intoxicated.

It's actually Burkholder, but I've been called Burk since middle school.

People always misspell my last name as "Burke" and it drives me nuts. My daughter has the same problem! Oh well...

Maybe because it was tequila and not whiskey? My bartender eye noticed that it was a bottle of Herradurra. I saw a bottle of Herradurra in the background of the bar when Harry was making the martinis as well.
