Overall I thought it was a good movie and didn't mind the stuff they added to flesh out the story.

Its heart is in the right place and Erivo is great. But honestly, I was disappointed. It felt like an origin story for Harriet Tubman but then the writer was like "oh shit I forgot the cool stuff she did like being a Civil War spy" and crammed it into the last twenty minutes.
