Not a great movie
Considering the great cast and wonderful writer that were involved in making in this film, it's a disappointment. I can't really point to a certain part of the movie and say it was done poorly but it just didn't catch me. I love this writer, David Hare. He's terrific but there was something missing for me. I think it did a good job though of making me feel empathetic towards the antagonist ( he was genuinely sweet with his daughter) but recognizing that this man supports some pretty abhorrent ideas. Likewise with the protagonist, her cause was noble but she herself seemed self righteous (she wanted to testify in court even though her attorneys recommended silence). 6/10 generously.
