Why Spall?
He seems a very odd choice to play Irving. I hope he pulls it off but I think Tom Wilkinson, for one, would have been a more explicable choice.
shareSpall does a decent job even though his character is woefully underwritten and cartoonish. A more challenging film would have adequately explored David Irving whose motive to protect Hitler is never quite touched upon.
