better than the so so reviews - crazies on the forum - smh

I really liked this. I thought the acting was outstanding as well as direction and cinematography. a pleasure to watch this and quite emotional at times.

I was hesitant to look at the boards as I had a feeling the crazies would come out. I'm not going to bother reading the insanity.

I agree with everything you just said. "Denial" is a very fine movie -- and I knew even before I looked at the postings on IMDB that the movie would be a magnet for crazies.

I highly anticipated this film and was very disappointed. Perhaps the fault is really with a mediocre and trite script. So many tired and even gimmicky scenes.

Though I thought the supporting cast was very good for the most part, Weisz was terrible. A rather hollow stereotypical performance of a rather annoying and unlikable character. I hope Ms. Lipstadt is not that bad or foolish in real life.

This had such potential and it fails so badly on a number of levels. Even the visit to Auschwitz which should have been very moving or at least edifying was rendered little more than a cliche and another opportunity to showcase bad behavior by the character prejudging and insulting those there to work for her.

The courtroom scenes were fine if a bit dry but again another opportunity for actors to act out cliches.

It's worth a watch for the subject matter but bad script, bad dialogue, bad acting by some, and unimaginative directorial choices ruined this for me.
