I had a look at the gas chamber rooms, but I don't understand how so many could've been gassed and cremated within the time frame Birkenau was open for. It would've taken many more years with the chambers running 24/7 to reach the numbers claimed. So it's pretty obvious the numbers killed would've been a lot lower than claimed. Therefore, why is it so taboo to suggest such a thing? Do people not like skepticism?

The best theory I've read about him is that he was so convinced by the Leuchter Report and the proceedings of the Zundel trial that he really thought Revisionism was going to succeed, but then Zundel was unjustly imprisoned and eventually deported and things didn't go quite the way Mr Irving intended. After suffering from the factual things we were discussing in that other post, he now seems to have backtracked quite a bit and is spouting nonsense about gassings, in a recent video referring to a useless post-war confession document from Norway in order to support the idea that gassings took place in a "small room."
