Rachel Weisz accent is not great. Couldn't find an American??

She's done perry good American accents before. But here it's like the director told her to go over the top. Like she was told to "do it with moxie" and talk like she's from the 1950s

Lipstadt has a pretty strong accent and you can see she is over the top in her interviews with time talks. Plus, Rachel worked with an accent teacher and frequently called Lipstadt to know how she says certain words and felt during some situations.
Most accents sound the same to me so if it was bad I didn't notice and it didn't distract me.

I saw an interview with Weisz and Lipstadt, and Lipstadt's got a Queens accent so thick you could bottle it. If you haven't been around east coasters for a while, I can see why it would be pretty jarring.

She talks like the real Lipstadt, who sounds like she's got some over-the-top 1950s Queens accent, but it's how she actually talks, and Weisz was imitating her.

Watched bluray with a friend. Her accent didn't bother me but he couldn't finish the movie because of it.
