Goku and Vegeta return in time to save Trunks with the Mafuba, a technique from DB that seals evil beings inside a container.
Interesting, especially the last part.

I figured Black and Zamasu would fuse, but I never anticipated the return of the Mafuba technique, especially since it requires the person who seals away the other to sacrifice themself.
And is this legit, or just fan speculation?
If the person who sacrifices himself dies in the Future Timeline... Doesn't that mean they're dead forever? There aren't any Dragon Balls left in the Future Timeline.
