8/10 Slowpaced realism put in a slightly shinier package.

8/10

In short: If you do not like slowpaced movies this will be a hard view for you.
The cinematography is adjusted to also emphasize that with dull colors, quiet soundstage, decreased dialogue and shots that linger.
The story is realistic and might be disturbing even though the worst parts seems to have been left out.

In longer: Not much to ad, it's well crafted; the slow pace and cinematography is obviously chosen and not a lucky mix. Marking out the leads with a common characteristic is a really good choice and makes the storyline hold true.

Pro's
• Realism
• Mirroring cinematography to the harsness of the subject

Con's
• Some of the more evil parts (like deaths) are being left out or being downplayed. - The sociopathic/psychopathic treats does neither shiny through enough aswell.
• If normative impact is the aim a documentary is more valueable, but both harder to attain facts (data) for and most likely quite hard to shoot accurately.

End notes:
I initially wrote one more con, that a sad song as outro could have made a more emotional impact on the viewer but possibly decreased the intended sentiment to take away from it.

Ignorance is only a bliss if you haven't reached awareness.
My imdb posts are getting altered.
