What happened to his chinese friend?

I this first couple of episodes one of his best friends is a Chinese guy. But then suddenly after about 3 episodes the guy is never seen again.

Just thought it was strange that what looked like was going to be a regular character suddenly vanishes.

I noticed that also. A quick search of the web did not yield any clue.

He was in the finale. He showed up to Dev's movie premiere.

Shame he wasn't cause that dude had good chemistry with Dev.
