Would any lady date a guy with his personality

And humour, like The character on the show?

The IMDB message boards you either die a good poster,or live long enough to become the troll

Oh yeah. He's an appealing guy. Genuinely interested in the girls he likes, in who they are inside; knows how to have a good time; not crazy; feminist to the best of his ability and awareness; principled but never holier than thou, except maybe about cleanliness; loyal; willing to experiment with activities; open to other kinds of people from himself... and did I mention not crazy?

This is all extremely attractive.

Plus, he's attractive and smart with big eyes, lol. He's already taken IRL,though.

reply

Yeah, he's cute. Too young for me but I definitely could've gone for him if we were closer in age. His girlfriend has chosen well, I think! Aziz isn't exactly like Dev, but I believe he does have a lot of Dev's better qualities.

I'm sure he does just fine with the ladies.

reply

Yeah, being rich and famous kind of helps with that. But Aziz Ansari without fame is just everyone's weird little brother.

reply

LOL, y'all men think you know what women like. You don't know.

Ansari is not a head-turner, but, famous or not, he's also not a guy who'd have any problem getting girlfriends. Girlfriends, mind - not cheap bar hook-ups.

Agreed. Somehow I doubt he was a virgin until he got rich and famous.

Virgins aren't usually that confident. (unless they are on IMDB hiding behind a computer).

And how did he get rich and famous?

I'll give you a hint.....it was his persona. The persona that probably was getting him chicks all the time. Now he just has more options.

reply

Aziz did not do fine with the ladies before fame. He even complained in his standup about not getting much action with women. He might be the first person to ever be on television, and still have trouble getting laid.

Sure, it hurts it some that he's a short little guy, but it doesn't help that he acts so feminist, not alpha, and probably doesn't project any confidence.

Yes, b/c everything every comedian has ever said was 100% true.

He might be the first person to ever be on television, and still have trouble getting laid.

He also might not be. As in he might not have trouble getting laid.

...and probably doesn't project any confidence.

The dude oozes confidence and style. You don't just do that AFTER you get famous. You have to have that to get famous.

Not 100% true, but most comedians draw from their actual life. Why would Aziz be any different?

He also might not be. As in he might not have trouble getting laid.

Yes, but it's a pretty fair guess that he probably does have trouble getting laid seeing as how it's a pretty big theme in his standup, and he also complains about it interviews over the years. And the fact that he's a short little guy that likely doesn't project confidence when he's trying to hookup with a girl.

You know Aziz hasn't been famous his whole life, right? And even while famous, he talked about the trouble he has to get any play from women.

You're stretching. It's extremely logical to assume Aziz has trouble getting laid.

They also embellish the truth for laughs. Often at their own expense.

Yes, but it's a pretty fair guess that he probably does have trouble getting laid...

That's right. It is a "guess".

You know Aziz hasn't been famous his whole life, right?

That was kind of my point. Thank you for missing it completely.

You're stretching. It's extremely logical to assume Aziz has trouble getting laid.

It's also logical to assume he gets tons of action.

You're being very dense now. Are you a woman? You keep trying to spin a simple statement into something else. Logic tells anyone that Aziz, like a lot of guys like Aziz, have trouble getting laid. Aziz has also confirmed this many times in interviews and his standup, so you're just wrong. Get over it, and have some humility.

No, just smarter than you. And way to be sexist for no reason what so ever.

You keep trying to spin a simple statement into something else.

No, I just disagree with you. I'm sure it's happened before during your lifetime. Maybe you are just so in love with the smell of your own farts that you don't notice it? But I'm sure many people disagree with you most of the time.

Logic tells anyone that Aziz, like a lot of guys like Aziz, have trouble getting laid.

Just b/c you have trouble getting laid does not mean "a lot of guys" do. I would guess that your personality has more to do with it than anything.

Aziz has also confirmed this many times in interviews and his standup

I can't comment on the interviews as I have not seen them, however, I've already told you that comedians often embellish things at their own expense in their act so it's unwise to use that as proof. You seem to have loads of trouble with that concept. I bet you have trouble with lots of things. Like doors for example.

...so you're just wrong.

You argue like my dad. He's also stupid. Were you born in the 1950s by chance?

Get over it, and have some humility.

I'm not wrong just b/c some virgin from the internet says I'm wrong, lol. I'm not walking away from this thinking "Man, that virgin was right. I need to rethink my approach." Honestly, I like when idiots think I'm stupid. That usually means I'm right.

Anyway, you strike me as the type that needs the last word (even when you are wrong) so she's all yours! Use it wisely my friend. 🐼

*EDIT: I'll be damned. You did need the last word. I bet it was magical. Too bad I can't read it.

reply

The only one that looks stupid is you. You are literally trying to argue against something that Aziz himself has confirmed time and time again.

I think Rachel is the perfect example of a woman who would go for Aziz's character.

Because at first she the perfect woman. Perfect banter which is the most important thing but safe and non demanding... so the banter is consistent. Perfect woman.

But she is not the perfect woman. Interacting with Az, he is the 'master of none' and not trying to control. He makes outlandish comments but well placed because naturally he tries to keep his actions above the belt. He is like the King of Queens in Manhatten and adjusted in appearance for Rachel being a vegetarian in Manhatten but the same basic idea, and why he is good for a woman is that he is not controlling.

Rachel is great for EVERY MAN THAT WATCHES the show but only because she's with Az. Because the way she can open herself up for banter is because Az's character by being the master of none, opens her up to display these strengths.

Who is terrible for Rachel is the commercial actress with the dick cake. Because she needs to hold a line and have a master or a controlling man to be OK. Because she at surface appearance if you are neither black or white, imagine her on your arm and you approximate a Rachel type vibe. She vibes that same kind of hipness. But when she talks, she makes no sense. She's more like why does it matter if I make sense because then there is no community or company line and sometimes you need that to vibe or release tension... it's no big deal; just be a part of it.

Then she has little sense if you are a master of none and thinks it's great to make a dick cake embarassing the chef with no sense when it would be much more fun to joke about gluten. So she is much Rachel if you had to take a photo shoot and wanted to have a vibe, like a certain quality, it approximates close for how they made themselves... but she is terrible for Az's character. Because without a master, it might get awkard. She wants to keep a joke going but because she's feeding off the company, it's not solid that the banter will continue... like you can keep up the discussion.

If ego was the issue, racially neutral like more or less to Az's character cuz he's neither, then they are so much the same. But how we see how Rachel is because Az let that emerge because he is a non-controlling 'tamasic' Master of None, but he would be absolutely terrible for the dick cake actress. She would get out of control with no direction and the banter would be uneven and just not as sweet even when it's alright.

I still have two episodes to go. I hope they get married and he impregnates her on the honeymoon. But if not I hope they are still together.
