Potential great show brought down a few notches by feminism

Too much feminism on this show. Its weird that Aziz is into feminism, it has no benefit for a short, dorky guy like him.

If the overly feminist episodes were not included, this would be an excellent show.

It honestly makes me sad that you posted this.

The social justice aspect of this show is one of the best parts of it, IMO. It's refreshing and awesome to see a big show with big names making a stand on important issues in such a real and accessible way.

reply

The problem is that white girls in the United States have "no issues". The girl he is dating is a entitled little brat.

A short, dorky guy like Aziz Ansari actually has more issues than a white girl who touts feminism.

The good part of this show is that it shows a little bit of the dark side of America for a short dorky Indian guy like Aziz Ansari.

reply

Troll.

reply

Dispute my statement or your the troll with the one word response.

reply

Well thats the entire point of the girls episode. It just shows the "issues" that you think the girls do not have because you are not a girl and do not understand.

The one girl can't walk home from the bar without being followed or being terrified. The other girl can't post a picture of eggs on instagram without someone saying they want to f-ck her face.

As men, we don't experience this type of stuff so it's easy to assume it doesn't exist. The entire point of the episode was to show that girls do in fact have a much different experience than guys.

You don't get hard this quick unless its real.

reply

I found it interesting that the black lesbian even deals with it, despite being hideous and giving off an obvious butch vibe. Not that I dispute that it doesn't happen, some guys will go after everything.

I would just imagine that if you were a guy who was down on his luck, and were hard rejected by her, you'd probably lose all faith in humanity and pretty much have to join the priesthood at that point.

This would be valid if men weren't more likely to be the victims of violent crime. The FBI and BOJ keep records of this, and you can find the data on their websites. Women are catching up though, and are just a fraction of a precentage point behind as of 2014. Yea Equality?

reply

That's because men kill each other, not because they are being threatened by women. It's not symmetrical.

reply

How do some men can't tell the difference is baffling. Everyone can get mugged and killed. But not everyone gets targeted for their gender.

If I don't reply, you're probably on my ignore list for something I forgot already

It was the worst episode, the most forced in frightening ways. It wasn't even written to include subtle or smart ideas, it was straight up propaganda that were so out of place.

It almost ruins the whole serie kind of like the stupid "Feminism" Beyonce sign ruined the singer career and credibility.

reply

"Propaganda" 

Yeah, she seems to be doing terribly 

I think you're a wrong, you just don't want to see the problems women faces, I'm a black immigrant and I know the struggles in our society, but that doesnt mean other people doesnt have problems too, I know femminism is hated because of the tumblr social justice warriors, but this episode had some valid points dude. I usually dont like femminists, but I still think the episode was a good way to show their point of view. The only thing that bothered me a little was the scene where they get pissed because they thought the dude didnt talked to them because they were women. Mostly guys feels intimidated by women, and that's actually the reason many of them avoid women in some situations, and I see the message that ''we should listen them'' instead of questioning, which I'm against, I'm always open for a debate, I won't shut up and listen for the sake of femminism. So yeah, while was bothered about this scene, I agree with the whole episode, and I still think it's stupid to not take a show seriously because of this. Just ignore it, it's still a great show imho

All feminism is, is the belief that women should have equal rights as men when it comes to things like equal pay, work and many other thing which effect women's lives. Once again, you obviously don't know what feminism is--please look it up. I'm tired of people talking s*** about feminism, yet show virtually no understanding of it or what it's about, and how it's changed society for the better over the past 50 years. Do the research,people---geesh. And the term "social justice warriors" was made up by right-wing a**holes *beep* them) to make fun of the and shut down social activists online. It was social justice movements like the civil rights movement, the environmental movement, and the feminist movement which challenged society's racism and sexism and changed a hell of a lot of things for the better. Read up on American history, and find that out. Ain't a damn thing wrong with feminism---do the research and screw the anti-feminist haters, because they don't know s*** about it, either.

reply

When you say it's too feminist, you do realize you're basically saying that men and women shouldn't be equal, right? Because that's all they were trying to show in the episode. If that upsets you, then you have bigger problems. There are more than enough male-centric TV shows for you to watch out there.

I do agree that the writing is terrible and forced, by the way. But that has nothing do with feminism.

reply

Biologically men and women aren't equal. Men are physically stronger, faster and have quicker thinking.

This is not being cruel, its the nature of the world.

Why has almost every invention and mathematical concept been created by a man? Feminism is a false belief that tries to pretend that biological realities do not exist.

reply

Why has almost every invention and mathematical concept been created by a man?

Because the majority of women throughout history have been forbidden to read, learn, attend college etc. Women have contributed plenty to science, healthcare, psychology, literature, business not to mention they raised those geniuses you mention.Men and women have both strengths women are higher emotional and social iqs which is a biological response that has helped propagate our species. These are biological realities, but you will probably choose to be selective of the information you take in.

Think of how far the human race would be if women were given equal education all along and instead of just the past few hundred years!

reply

Quicker thinking?!! Are you joking? There is no difference between men and women when it comes to quick thinking.

Of course there are differences between men and women, and feminism doesn't dispute that there are, in general, differences. That has nothing to do with equality though. Equality means that men and women are treated equally, given equal respect and opportunity, it's not about ignoring their differences or pretending they don't exist. The differences are largely physical though. There are no differences when it comes to intelligence, for example, expressed in a measure such as IQ.

He's a downright misogynist.

Really? Maybe b/c women were pretty much property for most of their existence? I'm surprised your "quick thinking man brain" couldn't figure that out.

Mine did. Quickly too. Within seconds of reading your moronic rant.

I have no idea what this even means.

What are the overly feminist episodes that you are referring to?

reply

Read my second post, I explained it pretty well.

Feminism ruins short, dorky mens lives by giving preferential to women who already have it better than them.

What does this even mean? "Giving preferential" to women over short, dorky men? What does giving "preferential" mean? What are you going on about in any of these posts? Could you not at least explain your point so other posters can decided whether they agree or not?

reply

Um... maybe the OP means that the short dorky guys are helped out by women having little to no choice in dating and it marriage being a financial transaction, but when you open up choice and competition and they get screwed?

reply

I think you just landed on the point. As of his last post, I have finally realized that the OP self-identifies as short and dorky.

As to what he means by "giving preferential to women," I don't know either. Maybe that's because he has "quicker thinking" than me.

reply

@andrew-bernstein33

Honestly, trolls like the OP obviously have no idea what feminism is, otherwise they wouldn't even be saying stupid s*** like this. Go educate yourself.

reply

You can keep trying to use "troll" to silence people who don't agree with you.

Feminism is a grievance industry for coddled Caucasian women.

reply

Sorry but feminism has only negative implications for men, stop trying to sell it to me.

reply

You sure seem to know a lot about feminism, Elliot Rodger.

I don't get this at all. Please explain to me how feminism has no benefit for someone like Anzari.

"A short, dorky guy like Aziz Ansari actually has more issues than a white girl who touts feminism."

Do you mean like social issues? like racism, less work opportunities..stuff like that?

I'm having some trouble following your thoughts.(or you are just too much into stereotypes and "established" social dynamics it hurts.)

reply

Yeah it's a shame people are so *beep* stupid, uneducated that they didn't see Nazism coming, the same way people don't understand the crap that feminism is.

reply

Why does it matter if it has no benefit for him? Why does it not have any benefit for him?

reply

The OP is projecting. He'd never do anything for someone else unless it benefited him, therefore Aziz must be the same.
