Cipher said in their first conversation that she would do something if Dom told anyone. And she had eyes on him at all times, which is why he had those two guys from Fast Five block the cameras of the alley and why he lifted the hood on his car to block Cipher's view of seeing him so he could sneak off to make a deal with Ma Shaw (or whatever her name is, calling her Ma Shaw).
What I don't like is that it was so simple for him to turn on them. He couldn't whisper, "I'm sorry" when he caused Hobbs to crash so he (Dom) could take the EMP device. Not saying Dom had to exactly look at Hobbs. He could've just said it to let the audience know he didn't really want to do it and was forced to. Instead it just seemed like he was doing it willingly and without a problem. But with him going on and on about family the past few movies, it's hard to believe that he just turned on him like he did. That's kind of why I would like to see the actual mission of them stealing the EMP device from that base. I'd like to see what he was like during that actual mission and seeing him finally agreeing to turn on the others. Then it would be more believable seeing his facial expression and how easy it was for him to turn when he rammed into Hobbs to make him crash.
Hopefully with the Extended Cut that was just announced, the mission is included. They probably never filmed it and it's the writer in me wanting a better movie. But even the dialogue among the team as they were leaving made it seem that something was off about the editing and a chunk of the movie was missing. I felt like I had gotten up to use the bathroom while watching the movie and missed a key scene.
But yeah. This is why I want to be a screenwriter. If I was the head writer, I would've added something to make Dom's turn more believable/convincing. It felt too rushed to me.
I agree he had opportunity when was with Letty in bed after he met Cipher could of said he has to pretend to go rogue and they could of backed him somehow.
He got the guys to block his car with the van so how did he manage to do that without her listening in his convos?
I mean we all knew he hadn't really turned rogue cos that's not his character and also we see her blackmail him into doing it so i cant see why they couldn't of shown him telling them what he was up to as it didnt hold any major purpose to the viewer to keep that from us.
why even bother with logic in these movies? they are made for retards that doesnt notice important details like this, so if you have a brain, then its not even worth trying to figure out all the shitty retardness that are going in these lousy movies...
