Why would they bring back this character again? I was glad he was barely in Furious 7. In Tokyo Drift, I thought his character was so dull and had zero charisma.

It seems like Scott Eastwood is the main 'white guy' character as he see's to always be on set.
I'll bet he's in the final act, and his role will be much bigger in Fast 9. They are gonna use him since he's supposably signed on for final 3 movies.
