$20,000,000 budget
And it looks better than some of the $100,000,000+ blockbusters coming out in the U.S.
Nice job from the visual effects team!

Usually the effects of such crap movies are not what makes them bad. What makes them bad is applying exclusively American pop culture styles and elements into a movie that's set in Russia, in Moscow. It's a mockbuster attempt by people who don't understand that any and all of this super hero stuff isn't just guys in cool costumes or gadgets hitting someone and winning. It has to do with overall culture and whether may of it has any cultural basis in society who might view it. There is zero of it in Russia and most post soviet republics today. Reasons can be many, but overall they're summed up as influence of the stink of the corpse of USSR from the grave of history. Instilled Soviet ideas of what is decent and what is indenecent, the censorship of books and film. All of it prevented a free thinking society from developing even today.
shareNice perspective. Do you think that the release of Godzilla: Resurgence reflects more towards a Japan centric view akin to the original which is why it may be successful?
