No. This movie won't be good. It'll be like all copycat movies that aren't produced in United States or UK. It will suck and won't even appeal to their localized audiences. Even less to audience outside, in this case, Russia.
First lets establish this. It is a stylistic ripoff and thematic ripoff. I've not seen very specific characters interact or clips besides the trailer. But even the concept is so blatantly "Russian avengers".

Ok, but can ripoffs be good? It depends but usuall theyll not be good. If you watch Netflix you know what a "mock buster" is. It's a movie made to resemble and imitate some major Hollywood film. They'll have a very similar title. Very similar plot. And very similar dvd cover and poster. They're filled with low rate actors. Some of them can be good. I don't blame the actors for taking any role they can. These mockbusters are usually made in United States by struggling producers. Their almost exclusive goal is to trick people in other countries to buy and watch them. This has become a phenomenon when the major China and few other Asian countries became a very significant markets for movies. Many Hollywood films are actually falling in quality over last ten years or so because of the demands of Chinese market and censorship.

With this Russian movie ripoff of avengers(loosely speaking) they're attempting the same thing probably. They'll promote it heavily within Russia. Within Asia. And to much smaller extent in United States.

Why this movie will suck and why it's most certainly a stupid idea to have made it in the first place is because they're trying to recreate what is essentially strictly American culture of Comics, and culture the culture of free press and free expression. No one in Russia or the former USSR thinks of Russia and "Russian superheroes" unless they think of some Russian character in an American movie. There is simply no culture of comics in general in Russian history. There were small kid's comic books that were never popular, never had any thought provoking content, new ideas. Nothing!

To any Russian viewer this might appear like a "cool" film. Ok. But overall it will be a movie that is set in the wrong place and in the wrong time and with which average Russian person will have no associations and non emotional response because simply the neither super hero pop culture not the comics pop culture exists in Russia.

That's why this blatant ripoff will not impress Russian viewers and it won't
Impress audiences that are outside of russia.

This was an accurate prediction, even Russian reviewers call it one of the worst movies ever made. It's well lit, has competent VFX and the action staging is better than Marvel, but the screenplay is toilet paper and the acting far worse than the nightmares of Hilary Duff. Female Nick Fury is nothing more than an exposition tool, who stands around looking forlorn while protagonists drop backstory lol. Marvel was lucky its TV directors got their act together for the last major arcs.

It has the hallmarks of a movie butchered by producers in the edit room with the disjointedness, although given the incomprehensible and infantile script, there probably wasn't much to work with anyway. It's an embarrassingly bad movie, which ranks it slightly above Justice League.

So long as they don't over-extend themselves, keep to what they can afford to do well and not attempt what they haven't got the resources for, it could be good. As for being up there with the MCU or Fox's X-Men, unlikely - but who knows?

All for a box of chocolates...

It did not matter if it was a talking raccoon, it mattered if it had GOOD DIRECTING AND GOOD WRITING
