Growing? The violence in Chicago has dropped according to crime stats over the years:

The total for 2014 was 425. Not saying that crime isn't somewhat of a problem there,but I think the media might be making it more than what it is. Especially since all of these "Chiraq" rappers like Chief Keef and others like him have brought their lifestyle to mainstream white media.

The truth is, the crime has dropped significantly compared to early 2000's and 90's. Still interested in watching this documentary.

Feature film says it's a comedy drama musical. Hope very little musical also hope it ain't rap! Kidding it's a black film rap will over power this film:)

Yeah movies like this promoting psuedo-statistics are just part of NWO mandate to start "Helter Skelter" that their clown Charles Manson failed to start in the 60's.

Unfortunately, Chicago is broke from decades of financial mismanagement, and it's difficult to deny that places like Englewood, Garfield Park, Chicago Lawn, and others are complete cess pools.

Debating the numerical value for murders in specific locales is not germane to this film.That these murders do continue to go on unabated is.

Chicago has been run by a political machine for the better part of the 20th and 21st Century, and like every political corruption syndicate, they are bound to try to justify their nonsense. Said nonsense will always have supporters, as the Cook County Democratic party has been masterful at maintaining what is essentially organized crime over the years, but that does not make them right. Nor does it negate the human tragedy that unfolds every weekend on the south side.

This film seeks to address that.

Although the shooting and killing is heaviest in a few neighborhoods, it is happening is many areas, even the northwest side and the goldcoast. The mayor was so concerned about the title, he summoned Spike Lee to his office to try to get him to change it.

No, your response was quite ignorant. Did the poster touch a nerve? It is a fact that black crime is over reported and white crime is underreported, while there is little discussion of Chicago's very violent historical roots, nor of the role that centuries of concentrated poverty and racism impacts the gun violence in black communities there.
