is this another racist spike lee film? 2 hours of "all our problems are caused by white people"

Thats not true. I left my Baretta 92f on the counter the other day & when I went to go clean it I discovered it had fled out an open window. It robbed 4 liquor stores and 1 Dairy Queen all by itself before I was able to catch it & bring it home.

I would say absolutely. I was outraged and disgusted. It's almost pure propaganda, and it'll fuel the simmering potential for a 'race war'.
The 'jungle fever' scene with the white general in the armory is insanely insulting. If it were reversed, with a white woman seducing some black guy into 'chimping out' (forgive the expression), there would be rioting in the streets.
There are racist whites out there in society who will take that as it is, which is a slap (and a spit) in the face. Yay, that'll help race relations...
It's an ugly movie, and it's surreal and sad that leadership in the black community isn't castigating it as absolutely the wrong message to be sending to anybody.

shareIt just seems paranoid white people like you always seem to think Spike Lee is always out to demonize white people, it just isn't true. In most of his movies, people are fully fledged human characters. Everyone is flawed and fallible. Even in Do the Right Thing, which people like you have always thought that made all the white people look bad but actually did not. It's like you guys just didn't wathc the movie, or read it wrong, or just heard from other white people who misinterpreted it.
The closest one of his movies comes to making all whites look bad MIGHT be Malcolm X, although that movie was all about the history of very real hatred, discrimination, prejudice, and bigotry that black people received from both the legal system and the culture and society at large, and if it did that it was only using it as a rhetorical device to convey to more modern audiences that sense of widespread hatred and discrimination towards blacks in the lifetime of Malcolm X.
ACtually if anything, this movie seems to be more about demonizing males than whites, which seems to be the real problem. Also, this movie seems more keen on presenting women as all good and knowing and infallible than presenting them as the flawed and fallible people that they actually are (as men are too.), and I think the movies suffers for this. This is stupidly unrealistic and caters to a hostile and misandrist feminist mindset which does NOTHING to unite the community and in fact divides it, and hopefully Lee will not continue this FLAW in future movies.
