First “real” horror experience with me kids! 👍

The other day I watched Coraline with my 9 year old and now it was time for our 2nd horror movie experience together. My 7 year old also joined us as they both were aware of this movie because of a video game they saw clips of on YouTube. All that to say, the excitement was high on that afternoon (in order to prevent nightmares as much as possible). The movie did not disappoint. Entertaining story, solid cinematography, cool atmosphere, thrilling moments of (soft) terror. It was a success on all the line. Piper Rubio is such a great kid actress. She totally won me over with her charm. The rest of the cast was perfectly fine too. Good chemistry between Cop girl and security guy. My rating: 7.5/10

I’ve been meaning to see this for a while, but haven’t got around to it yet. I’ll check it out soon.

Cute story buddy.

I thought this movie was underrated. It's nothing special but for a PG-13 horror movie based on a video game (which I haven't played) it was decent enough.

I watched it today. It was okay. It was mildly entertaining, but not really thrilling. Josh Hutcherson was decent and I liked Piper Rubio's performance. 6/10 from me.

Had no idea what the hell it was about. But my 7 year old actually requested this. And it was a great beginner horror movie! And pretty macabre for some parts of the story.

I wanna watch the black phone with my kid , but that one maybe wait another year or 2 i think. Have you seen the black phone yet?

reply

Yes, I bought it. It was alright but not very memorable.

Just watched it with my ten year old daughter - she thought it was hilarious.
