Why Arnold is doing this shtty movies?
Why not a new Predator or Conan?
shareBecause he isn't in his prime anymore.
shareWhy not a new Predator or Conan?
What he said.
shareI gave him a pass with The Last Stand, first one back. Escape Plan did well, budget of $50 million and made overall over $100 million. But that was with another power house, Stallone. Sabotage, what where they thinking? Expendables 3 was not his fault, nor was Genisys. Both films decided to take the kiddie route and make their movies into a PG13 crap fest. The first 2 Expendables did very well and they where both Rated R. Even Stallone admitted it was a mistake to change from R to PG13. I don't blame Arnold for the down fall of Genisys, no one had enough star power to push that through, the story line was bad, the actors picked were very bad, heck even the makeup was bad. Johns face looked awful with the scars. They did way better back in the early 90's T2 with Johns face.

Though Genisys was bad and they have cancelled the remaining 2 in the trilogy, I can only hope somehow at least 1 more gets green lighted before Arnold leaves this world. I just want one more...
Also cant wait for Conan, Triplets and the new Predator. The reason why I say this is because again, Arnold will be gone soon. He is already pushing 70.
Pg 13 had nothing to do with those films being bad or good terminator 5 also did very well over seas an never felt watered down either just because you go from r to pg 13 dosent mean you will notice a difference unless the violence in the films before hand was non stop terminator 1 is the only r rated feeling one of that entire franchise as for arnold it would be stupid for him to do another predator another conan would be fine but predator is just stupid the movies hes deciding to do like this one are good choices an doing a drama is fine an his next film sounds very funny also they never cancelled the next two terminators they simply removed the second ones planned release date which means you will still get it simply at a later date an rather you believe me or not you will get more terminator
shareThey cancelled the next terminator movie. It may still come back, but not anytime soon.
shareit wasnt cancelled dude it was just removed from its planned release meaning they are going to make it down the line just means its going to take longer but if you dont think your getting more terminator your dreaming long after were dead dude terminator will still come t5 did to well over seas not to make another it was a hit just not here an this same studio has made sequels to films that only made money overseas you are getting a sequel an lets be honest you will be there opening day
shareto be fair he is lucky he is even doing these all his movies since his comeback have pretty much flopped. he is lucky he isnt doing straight to dvd movies like , Snipes,Lungren,segal..
share@stevegrayston-75-221538 478 might be straight-to-video seeing as it's distributed by Lionsgate Premiere.
shareThere's a difference between DTV films with Seagal/Lundgren and what Arnold is doing with this film. Aftermath is going to play at a film festival before it's release. It will have a few week limited theater run and then go VOD. Expect same release format that Lionsgate Premiere released Mel Gibson Blood Father. Just because Lionsgate Premiere is distributing it doesn't mean it's crap. They basically buy all small movies with stars from the 90s in them. In Aftermath case it's something of higher quality being produced by Darren Aronofsky and written by Javier Gullon. It's a film based on actual events and heavy character drama. Not some silly low budget action film.
Arnold wouldn't star in a straight up action film unless it was getting a theatrical release. Obviously there's not a big market for indie dramas like Maggie and Aftermath starring Arnold. So they play at film festivals, get smaller limited theatrical runs and then go VOD. Arnold does them as passion projects between bigger film or tv projects. For example he did Maggie between Expendables 3 and Terminator Genisys. While he did Aftermath right before he did Celebrity Apprentice. Then after shooting supporting roles in Why We're Killing Gunther and Journey to China to show off his comic chops. He's probably going to do new Predator and Expendables film this year. Obviously at Arnold age, he's going to try new and different things. Which is why we're seeing small indie films like Maggie/Aftermath. Tv show like Celebrity Apprentice and supporting comedy roles in comedy/action films like Gunther and Journey to China. While this year he will get back to serious action films.
This movie is not *beep*
Listen, do you smell something? -Ray Stantz
I know right, he should stick to quality stuff like Terminator Genisys, The Expendables and Escape Plan.
It's better for him to try to do something different, Maggie was better than pretty much every action shlock he's done in the past few years while showcasing he can indeed carry a movie by not being an action hero.
But Maggie wasn't , its reviews were poor, Arnold is not a dramatic actor. He is an action star .Yes he has had some great dramatic scenes in movies , but they were with great scripts and great directors who know to keep those moment short. he is not Daniel day Lewis .
share"This *beep* movies?" Thanks for offering your profound intellectual insights, chief.
shareI think the movie looks interesting. Also he needs to take his career in a different direction because the guy turns 70 years old this summer. He can't play Terminator, Dutch and Matrix kind of roles anymore. Terminator 5 had many problems including a late 60 something year old Arnold playing a machine.
sharehe needs to do what Clint Eastwood and John Wayne did. Co star in genre movies ! You didn't see John Wayne , Arnie or any other genre stars attempting movies like this and they were all much better actors than Arnold!
