Rank the Acting of the Original Five Kids

Mine would be:

1. Mike/Finn Wolfhard - The best kid actor on the show. Emotive and capable of subtly, he has the potential to turn acting into a lifelong career.
2. Dustin/Gaten Matarazzo - Decent actor with good enthusiasm but a bit too smiley at times. He brings a good energy to the scenes he's in and his adventures with Steve are some of the highlights of the show.
3. Eleven/Millie Bobby Brown - Does fine in intense scenes but the cracks show when she is in situations that require more nuance like her relationship with Mike and learning and repeating new words.
4. Lucas/Caleb McLaughlin - Bland and forgettable. Seems to either be underacting or overacting depending on the scene he's in, though he has improved as the seasons went by.
5. Will/Noah Schnapp - Absolutely terrible actor and often painful to watch, particularly as the show has progressed. His biggest service to the series was going missing for a good chunk of it.

I quit watching after the very first episode because the fat ugly kid was so annoying. I don't know what the character's or actor's name is. Might have been "Dustin".

I think all of them make a good job. Maybe the less favourite character for me is Lucas. In my opinion, Noah Schnapp did it very well.

I thought he was good in the beginning as the hapless abductee. By the end of last season I was looking forward to Lucas scenes in comparison to episodes like the one where Will was a crybaby because his friend didn't want to play GI Joe or something. Episodes like that highlight how bad the actor is and it's no coincidence he didn't get time in the spotlight beyond Stranger Things like Finn and Millie.

They all improved, but Lucas was laughably bad the first season, and definitely the worst of the bunch.
