Things I learned from Mulan 2020

1. If you need to catch multiple falling cups/bowls, use two hair pins instead of your hands. You can balance more of them on the tip of a pin than with a 5 finger grip.
2. If you can fly fast enough to get in front of an arrow, don't bother grabbing or knocking it off course instead. No. Let it kill you.
3. If enough ropes are attached to the ground around your feet, they will detach from the ground and connect to each other to forma net.
4. If some cross dressing soldier comes back from exile with a claim of danger for the emperor, make all sacrifices necessary to get that soldier specifically to the emperor instead of the whole group.
5. It takes a journey through every climate zone in existence to get from Mulan's village to the palace and there are none of the other men from her village on that path.
6. Make sure to mention a phoenix as many times as you can and add in a phoenix flying around a bunch and maybe the viewers might think it is remotely symbolic of ... of ummm.
7. If you can shape shift and kill many opponents at once in combat, you cannot simply kill and impersonate the emperor. Nope. You have to be a lackey to powerless humans in an effort to get power.
8. If you and your band of raiders are speeding across the land on your way to the next target, you can teleport one of those slow, clunky trebuchets to your location with several 500 lb boulders.
9. When hurling a 500 lb boulder at foes in an open icy plain, set it on fire too. Maybe someone hit with that 500 fucking pound boulder will get burned too.
10. Firing arrows from behind your back is sometimes how you have to do it in pitch combat.
