I really like Isla Fisher, i think she's a great acress. I know the fate of her character (well, from the book). What's she like in the film, screentime etc
Solid performance indeed. Put it this way, I always associate her name with her TV past, but I just didn't get that at all, which is surely a good thing!
shareI personally felt like the performance was a bit stilted and considering that some people have pointed out the possible nods to Lynch's films (dream sequences, characters played by the same actor, characters like the dancers reappearing in a different situation...), it made me think of some of the bad, unnatural acting seen in Twin Peaks (and certain Lynch films), which kind of gave it its charm. Maybe Tom Ford was intentionally seeking that type of performance from her.
She seems like a caricature of Susan in a way. Obviously she doesn't have much screen time (10-15mins or so) and so intentionally, her character is not developed.
