When Bruno fixed the car

Was it implied that Bruno had slept with Katie's mom after she invited him into the trailer after he fixed the family car? It cut away soon after that but when it came back to Bruno, he is shown hopping on his motorcycle and riding away. Judging from what transpired since though, it doesn't appear to be that he has. For example, he didn't exhibit any "guilty" behavior when he eventually caught up with Katie. Although, I must say, his subsequent scenes with Katie were fueled with much anger, which could be an indication of transference of guilt or projection toward Katie. He doth protest too much, etc. Also, it doesn't appear that Katie's mom would have had enough time to engage sexually with Bruno since it was revealed later that she took the repaired car to run off with the neighbor's husband, which does take a bit of planning.

In any case, I wish this would've been made clear more explicitly. Maybe it's one of the typical scenes that end up on the cutting room floor in the interest of making the film shorter.
