Melanie was brilliant
She really stood out for me
The only scene which I didn't like was when Melanie was fighting the kids near the end.
8/10

She was great, I liked the idea of the fight, just not the execution.. should have been more violent, animalistic. Also, the bat represented power, she shouldn't have just dumped it while they were all watching.
"You'll be taking a soul train straight to a disco inferno where you never can say goodbye!"
She acted brilliantly and I agree about that scene with the kids, it just wasn't executed correctly, but I can't complain about the film as a whole. It was the best, most innovative take on the tired old zombie genre. I also greatly enjoyed the film Train to Busan, while completely different it was still very well done proving that the sub-genre can still greatly entertain with enough intellect, effort and budget are applied.
This was actually quite impressive for a $4 million production, great visuals of the city long overrun by time and the absence of humans. Did they mention how long it had been since the outbreak started in the film? If they did I missed it, but by overgrowth it appeared to be a minimum of 10+ years.
I liked when she went full Negan on those kids....
LOL
