You Killed the Only Person You Loved, Congrats

Soooooo the 2nd generation are controllable through violence and the fear of death. Yet the biggest fear to them is the little girl and not the guns/ grenades. Calling BS on that.

Plus the girl completely destroys humanity and the only person she loves by opening the pods. There is no way her human friend will ever survive in that medical research lab!!!! Extremely limited food and water, plus what about restroom facilities and other basic life comforts. Stupid.

I get the whole "it's our world now" thing, but jesus burning the pods was dumb.

All the contradictions (e.g. Her varying ability to control her zombie powers) and lack of logic ruined this movie.

Agreed, I was excited about this film, very disappointing and at times pathetic.

I never felt the desperation or fear of the zombies and horrific events happening around them, i.e the scientist stopping that pram, WTF was that about? endanger everyone for no reason.

Then the other children and the girl growling and fighting the 'leader', nearly had to turn it off, it was cringe! Like watching a really bad children's lord of the flies school play.

Yeah that scene was one of the worst. The screaming didn't sound intimidating either. Just shoot them. Now that's intimidating.

In that baby scene when the zombies begin waking up... why don't they all wake up?!? Only a select few zombies wake up, and half of them aren't even close to the gun shots. It was so fake.

You're wrong. And you should read the epilogue

Extremely limited food and water? The store where the children kill Kieran was quite full of supplies. And I can imagine Melanie will be able to provide both food and water to Helen. We might argue about anything outside the mobile research lab being contaminated by the spores, but we don't know that and canned food should be ok.

Again, you should read the epilogue. Helen lives many years.

...in the book. This is the movie we're talking about. Different entities.

Also, where's stated that amongst the insufferable brats's alleged 'gifts' there's the ability to foresee the future? I'm sorry but the OP's got a pretty solid point, like it or not.

don't know about the book cuz i havent read it, but yeah obviously justineau KNOW she won't survive for very long in the mobile unit hence the single tear in that last scene.
