Great movie, with an ending that ruined it almost

The movie was an 8 for movie till the last 20 minutes. It's like they changed the director and the writer in the last act of the movie. The first 2 acts are a great movie, the 3rd act is a movie that sucked so much :/ Bad writing, dialogue, story telling etc... Shame

Yeah I thought the same thing. Up until the "class" ending, it was like they ran out of ideas how to end the movie.

Agreed. This had the 28 Days/Weeks Later thing going for it. I thought they could have ended the movie right when the girl and the teacher were on opposite sides of the glass and touching hands... no hope,it's over.

Also, they should have dragged one of the other kids back and let the Doc grab brain and spine from them.

It was pretty good up to the end.

I thought the same thing and looking at the threads it's barely mentioned. I suppose people are more primed to think about race crap that critically think about the ending.

Justineau knew this information before they went out. They could have dragged back the alpha hungry that Melanie (possibly) beat to death.

I get the feeling that the good doctor was always saying she just needed one more brain for the cure. However, since she was dying, this would probably be the last one she'd work on anyway. After which, we'd know for sure that the world was a goner. No real need to even light up a spore tree at that point. Doc could teach from her trailer just the same.

Also, the Dr. could have cauterized her hand early on.
