Most of the reviews are good, especially praising Jessica Chastain!

This movie is just amazing. Still can't believe it's Perera's first script. and Jessica Chastain deserves all the praise in the world. In my opinion she topped her Zero Dark Thirty performance and that was one of my favorite performances of all time. The whole audience was engaged in the movie and there was overwhelming applause at the end.

Totally agree, JC is fantastic. She reminds me of Faye Dunaway in Network. I saw this months ago and my first thought when it ended was Best Actress and screenplay noms for sure, if not a win.

it still astounds me that it was Perera's first script. He certainly deserves a nomination. The dialogue was so smart and catchy. I guess the reason why he isn't getting the praise he deserves is because people see it as a Sorkin imitation which i don't agree with

What's missing in movies is same as in society: a good sense of work ethic and living up to ideals.

Yeah, however it needs to be said that many (most) of these media outlets are extremely anti-gun so it's no surprise they're giving this movie top marks.
