Ask any of the actors, the screen writer, the producers and director if they know anything about guns and the 2nd Amendment, and I bet you'll receive the usual "Well guns are an issue because all the mass shootings and you don't need a gun and that evil, evil NRA influencing Congress!"
I fail to see why this is bad. I am not a driver and I don't know anything about cars, but I wouldn't give the right to drive to any idiot who wants it, regardless of their mental and physical state and their knowledge about cars and driving.
The same with guns. I am sorry, but USA would not suffer so much from gun-related violence if there were some adequate gun control. Hell, your fuскing second amendment is about a REGULATEDMILITIA. Both words mean regulation, and regulation, by its very definition, is control.
>>I wouldn't give the right to drive to any idiot who wants it, regardless of their mental and physical state and their knowledge about cars and driving.
Guns aren't handed out like coupons at the supermarket to the mentally deranged.
Regarding cars, here in the States we have illegal immigrants receiving driver's licenses.

Tell that to the city of Chicago, especially the South Side, where this September the city passed the 500 mark of homicides due to guns. The tickler? The city has one of the most strick gun laws in the nation.

Wrong on both counts.
You didn't include the entire amendment. It's "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."
It's often said by those who object to private citizens possessing firearms that the word "militia" is the trump card saying that only a military like group, like each state's National Guard or police force, can carry a gun. This is a misunderstanding since it's often interpreted by the anti-gun side that the first part dictates the second part. They'll then move onto the word "regulate." The word doesn't mean that the government can pick and choose what firearms a private citizen can hold; "regulate" at that time means well-educated, competent, in gun handling. The Federalist Papers and The Declaration of Independence talks about private citizens being allowed to protect themselves against others and the government (tyranny). There's also a huge clue pertaining to the "right of the people" - the comma. So the 2nd Amendment talks about two separate groups possessing firearms: the militia and "the people", "the people" being the non-members of the militia, be it the local college professor or the mechanic down the street.
If you want to talk about closing any supposed loopholes, sure, go at it. But the 2nd Amendment allows the citizens of the US to own guns if their individual state/county allows them to (another issue of "tyranny" of local government - saying no to gun ownership even though it's written plain as day in the 2nd Amendment that such ownership is an actually right).
Guns aren't handed out like coupons at the supermarket to the mentally deranged.
And I am not saying they are. On the other hand, guns are sold at the supermarket.

Which is why I used the word "ADEQUATE". And I am sorry, but the Orlando shooter could buy the weapons he used for a mass shooting while being, at the same time, investigated for connections with ISIS, which is why he was forbidden to fly.

The words "regulated" and "militia" are still there. So...
Tiger86-2, You are trying to use reason and facts with people that have no use for either. They live in a world that has created their own "facts". They have even recreated God in their own image. In their world Jesus is not the humble lamb of God that said turn the other cheek, love your enemies, abstain from violence and weapons, heal the sick, feed the hungry, abstain from Earthly riches, give to the poor, and telling his followers that the meek shall inherit the Earth. In their Bible Jesus has been replaced by a roid rage billionaire Rambo, armed with an assault rifle and preaching hate, violence and greed as the answers to everything. Despite your mission impossible I still admire your efforts. Keep it up Tiger86.
You need to have some decent amount of self-confidence and courage to carry around a weapon that can shoot you in the foot if you aren't careful and lethally kills others. So no, guns aren't for the cowards or the psychos. That's like saying cars that run on gas are for those that hate the earth and are too lazy to travel by foot.
"...According to OpenSecrets, a site that tracks money in politics, the NRA spent $984,152 on campaign contributions during the 2014 election cycle. It also spent more than $3 million on lobbying in both 2013 and 2014. The NRA also spent $28,212,718 on outside political contributions during this period, which includes ads paid for directly by the NRA. That makes it the tenth biggest spender when it comes to such political spending."
