Take-down
One of the many smart things about this movie is how right it got the tactics of 2nd Amendment fanatics. In final act of the movie, the gun lobby orchestrates a take-down of Liz. And in life, gun advocates are enacting a take-down of the movie. 34% of the IMDb user votes are a 1 out of 10. The vast majority of them are clearly people who haven't seen the film and are opposed to what they feel the film is about (propaganda to take away their guns) so they are trying to edict the film on principle rather than its merits. And the user rating is designed to be your opinion of the film once you've seen it, not based on your politics. It just goes to the show got the mindset and actions of gun fanatics so spot on. And if anyone with brain was to actually watch this movie, they would see it's not about taking your guns, it's not a poorly researched attempt to spread lies - it's rather a character study set in the world of DC lobbying with gun control merely being the debate the lobbyist are taking on.
I can't wait for the first comment from a gun fanatic to bash this, further proving my point that they are closed-minded children who have so much anger and insecurities that they can only thrash and whine and throw tantrums.
