Trying to figure out the distribution of this film

I am trying to figure it out because it was not shown in that many theaters, I have Cinemark theaters near me, and that theater was not showing it, so I am wondering what the theater distribution was. I just find it odd that a movie starring Jessica Chastain,who is an upper tier actress and a movie that was heavily marketed would not get shown in as many theaters as possible. Granted I have not seen this film, however I think that limiting this film to a small number of theaters in addition to whatever reviews are out there, hurt this film.

With the exception of horror movies, movies with a budget this low (12 mil) don't tend to get as many theatres as it did.

Also, this is only the fifth movie that Europacorp has distributed. All their previous ones (almost all written by Luc Besson) were distributed by a different studio.

This move didn't get wide distribution because pro-gun people are boycotting it. The movie ties to make a pathetic attempt at demonizing the NRA and its members. The idiots, like Harvey Weinstein, will never realize that the second they quit making pro-Communist movies, the sooner they will get more profits.
