Well, I thought it was an SLN skit.

How does Hillary spend 7x more money than Donald Trump and still lose? It's the same answer to both questions.
Hollywood and the media have been living in their bubbles for so long that they have lost touch with reality.
It opened in select theaters only. The bigger release is soon.
Expect bigger box office #s then.

It was about 1/10th of the expected take in limited release. It was timed to premiere after an assumed Hillary victory, as propaganda to further her anti-gun extremist policies. Now, with her humiliating and endlessly entertaining defeat it has no energy or purpose. It'll make a few million in wide release but it will quickly vanish...just like Killary.
shareIt was not 1/10th of the expected limited release intake. This film actually performed healthily when it opened in mid-November. You're expecting a film that opened in 3-5 cinemas to open at 500k? The biggest and highly anticipated independent release of the year that broke indie film records (Moonlight) didn't even open to that much money.
It's fine if you want to take out your political frustrations in public, but don't illogically take it out on a movie. No one's saying this is going to be a blockbuster and no one expects this film to make a ton of money. Its possible lack of success is not because of the election, but because it's getting lukewarm reviews during Oscar season where there are more beloved films to get attention, and political dramas heavy on the dialogue rarely bring in large audiences.
What frustrations? We won, you lost. ZERO frustration here from the Republican side. Elation maybe. Satisfaction, for sure.
I think, as usual, the left always projects (and they always lie, go figure).
As someone who doesn't entirely agree with either Democratic or GOP political leanings, it's merely frustrating that anyone is making this film about politics since this film's central theme is not about liberal gun legislation. You're elated for an empty reason and should probably watch the film first since it's critical of the title character and not her political beliefs.
If a character chews bubblegum throughout a movie, that doesn't make the movie about bubblegum.
You make it seem like it is a duty to watch these movies. I could not care less about this movie, I don not care about hollywood or the important things they think I should be interested in.
I enjoy throwing a wrench into the works when I have the opportunity and if I can get just one person not to go see the movie, just a gentle nudge away from their initial desire, I will consider that a success.
When the movie is thinly disguised propoganda for my enemy, it is even more satisfying.
