A lot of people recommended this film to me, saying how great it was. And I must say, it wasn't terrible-terrible. It had a good cast, a good production, and a well told story. But something about this film seemed kind of dull and predictable at times. And by the way, I had no idea it was based on a true story until afterwards. But this film didn't do a whole lot for me, despite having a good cast and a solid production. I mean, if you absolutely positively want to watch it, it's at least worth one viewing. But I don't think I'll be watching it again.

Alright, I must've been feeling kind when I wrote this post. Watched it again...terrible movie. Just terrible. I would not recommend it. lol

I think it was okay. Well worth a one time watch. The story was interesting and the cast was good but like you said in your op it was kinda dull at times. There was really no highs or lows, it just went from point A to B. I still liked it but I don't think I need to see it again. 6,5/10

Well, I usually do that when I try to give a film another chance. I have the tendency to harshly judge films at times. But clearly, my judgement on this film wasn't incorrect. It was just terrible.

I think my first viewing of a film seals it for me. To be honest, I rarely view films twice unless they pop up on TV or they are huge favorites.

Felt the exact same way about it. Good acting and direction, but otherwise it was just sort of a run of the mill crime drama. I also found it hard to be sympathetic for Rick depsite him being fucked over. He had multiple opportunities to get out of the drug game and still kept going back.
