It's been in preproduction for at least five years, and still no word on casting or production. Maybe they're waiting for the hundredth anniversary of WWII...

Yes, but there hasnt' been a single actor cast yet. That's not a good sign for it appearing sooner rather than later.

Something interesting I just found out a few days ago after news about George Clooney's motorcycle accident in Italy...
He's appearing in and producing a mini-series based on the novel Catch-22....which concerns an American bomber group. I think it's being made for Hulu.
