There are gays who hate trans ppl, AND trans ppl who hate gay ppl, I've seen the latter a lot in the religious community, mainly b/c the bible speaks specifically about 2 men laying together being wrong but doesn't say anything about living as the opposite sex.
There is passages about that in the old testament law. But Christians are not under the law of Moses. The Law of Moses was for the nation of Israel during that time. There is a whole theological breakdown of Christ's fulfillment of the law and Christians being under the spirit not the law I could go into if you'd like.
I know where it says a "Man shall not wear that which pertaineth to a woman...." But the way I see it, you are your brain. Your brain holds your personhood, your personality, your character, etc... if my brain is gone or if I'm brain dead, there is no more ME, at least not in any meaningful sense. The "ME" would be gone and everything that makes me ME. SO even if one is born male genetically, if their brain is physically hardwired as FEMALE, is that person REALLY a man? I don't think so. So to me if such person wears female clothing, they are merely wearing the clothing that matches their BRAIN, and not really a MAN wearing women's clothing.
Actually this is a pretty accepted theory among many Christians, I do know of many Christians who see nothing wrong with a transgender girl ~like Jazz~ wearing women's clothing b/c REALLY if their brain is female, then in THAT SENSE they are female. BUT these same Christians would be very opposed to a man who identifies as a man ~with a male brain~ wearing women's clothing ~AKA a transvestite~ for like fetish reasons or whatever.
And if you're going to say that being a MAN or a WOMAN is determined exclusively by BIOLOGICAL sex, then you need to explain what exactly that MEANS, b/c as you likely know, biological sex is MORE than just ONE THING, for i.e. there is chromosomal sex, there is anatomical sex and there is hormonal sex. For i.e. Actress Jamie Lee Curtis was born with MALE chromosomes and female anatomy, so is she a man or a woman? If she were going to observe that law from the Old Testament, should she be wearing WOMEN'S clothing or MEN'S clothing. What specific part of her biological sex determines whether she's a man or a woman and which part of her biological sex determine which clothing she should wear.....her female anatomy? OR her male chromosomes?
They may, but using the law of Moses as commandments for Christianity is poor theology. The problem is that too many "Christians" use eisegesis by taking their own beliefs and unfortunately bigotry searching the bible to prove what they believe.
The hate of gays is very strong in certain segments of the black community and BLM has it's haters. That's where the phrase down low comes from. And the haters confuse gay with transgender.
The main reason Prop 8 passed in 2008 was Obama voters voting for it. McCain voters actually voted against it in higher percentages than Obama voters.
Why do we sing Take Me Out to the Ballgame when we're already there?
I wonder if she isn't really a genetic girl but pretending to be trans because I've heard some biological women will do that on Youtube. I didn't watch the entire video, though.
Usually they will come out at the end and say they are genetic females and their video was a prank: like them going up to random men asking if he'd like to go out for drinks or something, then say "First, I have something I need to tell you..." Just to see how these men react. Partly it's supposed to be funny and partly a social experiment.
Another reason I say this is because the more views they get on their YouTube videos the more money they can make. I think it may be the advertisers that pay them, but they can make quite a bit of money if they get hundreds of thousands - or a million - views. Of course coming out and saying what she does, with her rightwing views, will get her more clicks if she says she's a young, pretty transsexual than saying she's a genetic girl.
