Why are they shooting in Edoras

So confusing, I keep expecting to see Theoden on the throne, Eowyn on the top of the stairs, Gandalf going up the stairs to the hall and Gimli making sarcastic remarks about the village looking gloomy. They even sang a song during the funeral.. gee where did we hear that last time? Oh yes The Two Towers, extended edition.

The costumes, location, and style of shooting are so close to The Two Towers, that some of the shots could almost be interchanged between the movies.

I like both LOTR and GoT but the Beowulf story was an inspiration to Tolkien and at least by Tolkien proxy to Martin, and it deserves something unique and better.
