Cast signed up for 5 years?
ITV apparently has great expectations of this: I'd be surprised if it lasted beyond one series!
Jekyll and Hyde looks Oscar winning compared to this.
I think it's a pretty standard condition of a contract to lock the main actors into long-term contracts, but there's no obligation on the part of the studio if the show fails. If (when?) it gets cancelled the cast will be free to move on to something different and, hopefully, better.
