Community policing
I am now four eps in (not caught up), but I feel I had to comment on this ep. Kamal when he was in the simulator commented about how many times he thought the black undercover cop got shot, in the movie theater. They never addressed it. Funny, since there are a number of cases of a black undercover getting killed mistakenly, by white cops. You know what I did, I did a search of how many case of how many white cops were killed mistakenly by black cops. Couldn't find a single case.
How many times did the black undercover get shot in the movie theater? Then after the sim was over, he asked the significant question of if they have a scenario of when a black guy is standing on a corner minding his own business, how many times he gets killed? They never answered that question, either.
They also commented that they were surprised he didn't shoot more people.....really??????
I am really starting to wonder if this is in Kamal's control or if it is just what the producers want to portray for any particular ep. Kamal acknowledged that black people are afraid of getting killed by cops by doing nothing criminal, but that is never actually addressed by the police.
I will be watching this series more closely in the future.
