They believe everyone will one day soon be their slaves, no one but them goes to heaven; because everyone else is lower than animals, they don't believe in inter-racial marriage and so forth.

Freedom of speech isn't a "birthright" that can be acted on with impunity. There are consequences to what people say. The only entity that can't limit free speech in most circumstances is the government. Don't get me wrong, I hate it when companies punish their empolyees for saying things that go against company lines. That being said, they should be canned if it's affecting their bottom line.
This is the second post I've seen you mention black Israelites. What is your obsession with them? I can't even remember the last time I heard about that group and I've heard about it twice in two days because of you.

The KKK has a long, violent history in the U.S. Unfortunately they played a major part in the 19th and 20th centuries, killing many and frightening many, many more. Their membership once numbered in the thousands and they had significant political influence.
To see a black man talk to a KKK member is truly an astounding sight. Yes, the KKK want the publicity and most likely thought this show could help them but there's no way to make their beliefs look good.
I'm also surprised more people haven't watched, but it could gain traction with repeated airings at different times, something CNN often does.
The KKK is a tiny fringe group. More blacks kill other blacks every year in chicago than the KKK ever did. Also, quite an insult for this pompous clown to say those white folks having a positive talk about racism was as rare as a "unicorn". The show sucks, it's a race bait show for cuckold self hating liberals. Tonights episode had him going to prison, and just painting every black guy there as the victim, never mentioning the actual victims. If this show would actually address the problem with blacks, instead of only discussing the problems with evil racist whites, then it would be worth a watch. I give it one season. This guy is a horrible comedian to boot.

It's surprising to see the same "Chicago crime scene" line trotted out again. So the KKK is now a fringe group and you're suggesting racism doesn't exist but only in the mind of "cuckold self-hating liberals"? You're saying that it's only men whose wives have cheated on them that are getting the message of the show?
Don't worry, nobody will change because of the show. Racism will still be alive and well. Chicago will still have a ton of violence (while other cities with high black populations will continue not to).
Just to make sure, you're saying a black guy should be fine being present at a KKK rally, right? Because black-on-black crime in Chicago resulted in more deaths than the KKK in 2015?

I'm not. It's funny in the show, the KKK guy made a good point when he asked don't you think of white people when you hear the word racist? Of course his response was "no", and I can't read his mind, but I know tons of black people who don't even think anyone BUT white people can actually even be racist.

KKK is irrelvant, have been for years. CNN doing a special on them does nothing but create racial strain. Why not focus on something that actually matters? Do you think they'll do a special on the real problems within the black community, or continue to paint blacks as dumb disadvantaged victims who can't control their destiny, and blame it all on the white boogeyman.

Racism is a problem this country was born with, from the moment white European males hit the shores and decided that the people who lived here already were "less than." I'm not so worried about some unknown group that you seem obsessed with as much as I am about people who can not see that judging people on looks or color or sex or religion is an outmoded and dangerous idea.
Bell never said that they didn't have the right to speak, associate with each other and perform rituals in private.
In fact he have them more of a chance to present their ideas to a mainstream audience than they could ever buy.
His interest in the Klan is that for one thing, they were once a powerful organization or set of organizations. When they had power, they used it openly in the political field as well as engaging in widespread violence and intimidation.
Obviously, they're no great influence on the culture now and can't get away with much, but any moderation and concern for legality was forced on them. As racism or quasi-racism becomes more acceptable (crude nationalism of the Le Pen type is becoming much more common on the American right) groups like the Klan become less marginal.
The Klan and other such groups are also a barometer of the overall racial and cultural tension in America. Their numbers and activities increase during troubled or uncertain times with their message of scapegoating.
Not just black people, either. In most of the 20th Century was anyone from Catholics to people with "modern" ideas. The success of the Civil Rights movements made them a little less interested in fighting with other whites, though.
These days, they are still benefiting from the tensions and polarization around them, but there are now more sophisticated outlets for bigots and xenophobes as well. The Klan looks goofy even in the world of organized racism. Compare them with Jared Taylor and his American Renaissance, for example.
Black groups of crackpots and bigots obviously exist, too and have gotten a fair amount of media coverage. The Nation of Islam probably takes attention away from smaller groups.
