Light interesting period film.
I recall all the hoopla over this film years ago. Cool rainy day movie. The sets really captured the period.
shareYes, a much more enjoyable rainy day movie than, say, A Rainy Day in New York. For me that seemed like a pale imitation of a classic Woody Allen movie, whereas Cafe Society reminded me of all the things that made me a fan of Allen’s movies in the first place. It’s up there with Blue Jasmine as one of Allen’s finest 21st century films for me.
