the scene with Bobby and Candy

The acting in that scene with Bobby and Candy, the prostitute, is so amateurish and awful. It was like watching two inexperienced actors in a scene study class for beginners at some mediocre acting school.

What happened there?

reply

HA, I absolutely loved that whole scene.

reply

I liked that scene, but that's when I knew I hated Bobby and was in for an ordeal with Jesse Eisenberg's cracked out version of himself.

reply

So true. It was like watching a rehearsal for a stage play.

reply

No, JE was channeling WA in Annie Hall.

reply

That was the best scene in the damn movie! So funny...

They acted perfectly...Awkward, unsure, nervous. Exactly how the characters were meant to be played, and how the scenario would have likely played out in real life given their personalities and positions.
