In the opening scene a girl is kidnapped into a black car, who was that and why was that scene in the film?

The girl that was being kidnapped was Anna the babysitter the kids should have had. She was kidnapped by Emilie and 'the skinny man' (her boyfriend) so that Emilie could then pretend to be anna and babysit the kids as she was wanting to find a 'cubby' baby to replace her baby that had died
