What's with trailers these days
They show the whole movie. Is this like a new way to grab attention?

Some trailers don't show enough, some show too much...
shareTrailers nowadays reveal all the highlights, I mean it is just an eager and desperate way to sell their films. Trailers that don't show a lot are better. They tell you the plot of the movie but still keep things a mystery and THATS for you to wanna check it out
shareThey must rub it into your brains and let it season in there for a while, so you know which scenes you must laugh at while you are finally at the movies.
shareIt's like 'Member Berries;
'Member Bryan Cranston?
'Member James Franco?
I member!

Ha, ha, ha; Good one :-))
shareUsually a sign that the movie is bad.
True Self is righteous. It's a conspiracy to portray man as a savage that needs taming and policing
Many times, the marketing department puts together trailers before even seeing a rough cut. They receive all the footage and from that piece together what they think will get people into the theater. How in the world can a trailer done in this way be an indication of the final product? There's an article in Wired called Secrets of a Trailer Guru about Mark Woolen that you might find interesting.
shareIt's desperation. Plain and simple.
shareYeah, they have to tell the sheeple what the whole movie is about so they know once they spend their money on it

I don't see anything wrong with that when it's a comedy. I mean c'mon you are not expecting a plot twist are you?
shareGoing on for decades. Touchstone famous for it in the 90s. Sister Act I remember being one of the first guilty parties where just about every joke was revealed.
"Jesus, does anyone?"
In the future the trailers will be 5 seconds max. Whole movies perhaps 15 minutes.
I don't know why I bothered replying since the boards will be dismantled in Apr. been nice folks adios, last post!
