If I loved Parks and Rec + The Office

Those shows were a slightly different genre of workplace comedy since they played up the whole interviews and what not. In some ways, despite their crazy moments they still came off as believable due to excellent writing and acting. Superstore is quite lacking and often completely unbelievable. It's just not very funny. So maybe have some super low expectations and you might find it fun. I keep coming back (this time for the olympics special) hoping it'll be great and end up wishing I hadn't been curious about it in the first place.

I've gotta agree with nightc1. This show is disappointing. I think it has a good possibility but just doesn't deliver. Anyway, as far as Parks and Rec/The Office. There is NO comparison. Those two shows are written at a much more clever level than Superstore. That's not to knock Superstore, but no, it does not compete with those two shows which have won multiple Emmys for every category. Superstore is more of your run of the mill sitcom with some laughs, but not very strong writing. And that's ok.

I loved Parks and Rec and I really like this show. I wouldn't compare the two at all though. They're just different, give it a shot.

I think you need to watch and decide, it looks like there's not an exact formula for telling if you'd like Superstore. I loved The Office and P&R, this show doesn't do much for me.

I loved The Office, could not make it through 1 episode of Parks and Rec. I watch Season 1 of this show and bitched the whole time. I really wanted it to get better. Sadly, I don't see that happening so I'm done. I think you'll just have to watch and episode to find out.
