I don't understand this. My ethnic heritage is considered to be in the 'minority', and while it's not African American, I can see where the OP is coming from.
Sorry but that's just the tautology. You can say it for any race, nationality, any single person or even animal. So there is literally no point in stating this.
It's really all more statements on Jonah himself, and less all white people. He doesn't apply it to Glen, or Dina, or Cheyenne, the other white people.
Also, racism usually includes holding down and hurting the group it is against. How does it hold back or hurt Jonah, or the other white people in the show? Did Garrett's statements stop anyone from getting a job, or equal pay?

I agree that people hit the race card too hard, but if you choose to get offended by something because you think someone else would if it were reversed...then who is it that really can't take a joke??
Because double standards shouldn't exist. Truthfully, nobody should be so thin skinned that any little comment offends them. There are degrees of insult.
