F the ratings, this show is good

Its annoying when people here say how its not a surprise for this show to be cancelled...well it is. I understand that for all these big networks ratings are whats keeping shows afloat, but its just ridiculous to cancel the show which is so fun to watch. Okay, the story about this gambling club for rich is little far fetched, but the acting is good, the action scenes are awesome, especially the fifth episode.

It seems networks often forget that viewers want to be entertained, its not always about overthinking the storytelling, sometimes we only want to watch a simple, fun, action packed show.

And by the way, The Player is in a different stratosphere compared to Blindspot.

Another bad move by the NBC.

I only watched the first two episodes and they were horrible. I actually love the cast involved too and was looking forward to it. The writing is dreadful and Phillip Winchester mysteriously forgot how to act after he was so brilliant on Strike Back.

I agree, this is my favorite new show. I hate that the networks' decisions are based on the people who don't watch their shows. They forget about us viewers who actually DO watch their shows. Surely there are enough of us to make continuing production worth it, whether it's the #1 show in its time slot or not. Don't they want to "give the viewers what they want"? Well, WE WANT THE PLAYER!!!!!!

There is a thread on here to sign a petition to try and save the show. For those who actually enjoy this fun show, please go check it out and sign it!!

I enjoy watching the show as well. They should give it a chance!

9 episodes were not "a chance"?

They decided to cut the season short after only four episodes had aired. That is not much of a chance in my book.

For real. If they wanted the numbers to start strong they should have aired the pilot after the blacklist instead of the 2 hour heroes premiere. That was not a good fit.

Yes, apparently in the ratings category they scored an "F"!
