Ginny could be dead because The Pitbull(?) killed her, but he's making Alex think she's alive as a way of manipulating and fuelling his participation in the game. This could also work is she's still alive, which I do believe, but then she would be in on it too.

Interesting, but I don't think so. What would be the point of planting an SD card for Alex to find, but then taking that info away?
I think she's alive and I think while she may be a doctor, she's also either an intelligence agency's asset or actual intelligence officer (spy). Doctors, Red Cross workers often have access to off-limits and/or hard to reach areas; so being a doctor and/or relief worker is actually a pretty good cover and a great way to gather intel.
If she is an asset or spy, I'm not sure why they'd pull her out or fake her death. I don't think she's in with the House, though. Can't wait to find out more.

The show originally was supposed to be 13 (I think) episodes, NBC reduced the order to 9. All 9 have aired, but I haven't caught up yet. I'm unsure if any loose ends were tied up (I doubt it).
