Uhhhh....My SIM card has 2 gigs worth of storage on it...and about 400 pictures on it right now. Go look at a picture on your phone and then click options and look for the "Copy to SIM" or "Save to SIM" button. The only phones I can think of that Can't do this are the Iphones with the virtual SIM. Sooooo.....LOL?

No your SIM (Subscriber Information Module) does not have 2GB of storage space. Your micro-SD card might which is not what the original poster was talking about.

The latest SIM cards have 128KB of storage space purely for network identification purposes & service settings. Basically they tell the network which SIM number the need to route the call/sms to & the handset what settings it needs to communicate with the network. Pre-smartphone days, SIM cards had a small amount of storage available to be used for contact details to be stored on for movement between devices, nowadays things are stored in digital accounts in the 'cloud' for more easier continuity between multiple devices (& quick restoration should a device be lost/stolen/upgraded)
