NBC pulled the plug in this atrocious effort at action. Poor Phillip ( deserves better ) but with horrible casting and one of the most ridiculous premises ever; well it was a matter of time. At least now Pjillip can find a more suitable role for his action man status.
shareI wanted to like this show,but early on I realized his Strike Back partner got the better program. I loved them both as teammates and also hope he gets a show he can shine on.
shareI was looking through ratings recaps and noticed this got cancelled. I watched the first couple episodes but I just didn't find I cared at all about the characters or the crazy premise. I loved the action and stuff but any show that I don't actually look forward to I end up just dropping it. It sucks for those that stuck it out to not have a conclusion but such is life. I also dropped the Blacklist (plot just seemed stupid) after a couple episodes and it's doing well, so it's not like I expected The Player not to do well just because I wasn't enjoying it as much as it seemed like I should.
