I am so sick of people in horror movies turning around to talk to the people in the back seat while they are driving. You know damn well they are going to hit something. That scene in this movie was pretty egregious cause that chick was doing it the whole ride into town.

"San Andreas" actually kinda made fun of that cliche. The chick at the beginning was turning around to search for stuff, texting on her phone, everything that usually spells disaster (all on windy cliff side Pacific Coast Highway). Then she goes over the edge because of a blown tire or something. After that the movie was full of cliches but that part was original.
